In July 2010, Miriam Abu Rakik, owner of the ecological farm "Bat Midbar" in Tel Sheva, held a four meeting workshop for the women of Quasr Al-Sir. The issues discussed covered various topics of ecology, herbal soaps and medicinal herbs. The purpose of the workshop was twofold: firstly, to raise the awareness on the importance of ecological products, and secondly, to explain and elaborate on Bustan's current and potential role in the village's development.
